Research on Abortion in Scotland
Several pieces of research have been published recently concerning abortion in Scotland:
This report finds that there are “significant gaps” in young people’s knowledge of abortion and recommends taking steps to address this through education.
The above two reports investigate the challenges of providing contraception advice at the point at which women are attending services for abortion.
Our readers will also remember our post in July 2015 about the research that found women in Scotland requiring abortions above 18-20 weeks are having to travel to England for the procedure.
