Your Abortion Rights, Your AGM
Join us in shaping the campaign: Support Abortion Rights.
At Abortion Rights, we believe in the power of our members to shape the future. Our democratic structure ensures that every member’s voice carries weight.
AGM Overview
Each year, Abortion Rights hosts two essential meetings:
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
- Open to Abortion Rights members only.
- Members elect the Executive Committee and Chair.
- Review of the organisation’s strategies and policies.
- Members can propose motions four weeks before the AGM.
- Voting on proposed motions.
Public Meeting
- Open to both members and non-members.
- Features informative panel discussions on relevant topics. Explore our Public Meetings.
AGM Details
The AGM is typically held in February or March each year. To have a motion considered, it must be seconded by another attendee, ensuring active member participation in decision-making.
AGM Timeline
- At least two months’ notice of the Annual General Meeting shall be given to every member.
- The deadline for motions to be submitted will be set to allow for circulation of motions four weeks in advance of the AGM
Public Meetings
Our public meetings are a platform for inclusive discussions, welcoming both members and non-members. Stay informed about upcoming events and topics of discussion.
