Abortion Rights: Empowered by Our Membership
Abortion Rights operates as a membership-based organisation, a robust community of over 2000 dedicated members who contribute through an annual membership fee. Our membership comprises individuals and affiliate members, each playing a vital role in shaping our mission. The day-to-day operations of Abortion Rights are overseen by a volunteer Executive Committee consisting of 21 elected members. A part-time campaign manager manages our office.
At Abortion Rights, our strength lies in our grassroots approach. Our democratic framework ensures that every action and statement we make carries the collective weight of our members. The centrepiece of this democratic engagement is our Annual General Meeting (AGM), a cornerstone event where important issues are raised and discussed and where the Chair and Executive Committee are elected.
