Abortion Rights Scotland welcomes the Scottish Government’s statement on abortion included in their programme for government for 2023-2024, which reads: 

‘Abortion services – Work closely with Gillian Mackay MSP to deliver her Member’s Bill for safe access zones, and subsequently undertake a review of abortion law to identify potential proposals, by the end of this parliamentary term, for reforms to ensure that abortion services are first and foremost a healthcare matter.’ 

We think this will be something we can work together on and which will hopefully lead to the decriminalisation of abortion in Scotland!
